Bio

My yoga journey began as a quiet return to myself during a season of grief, transformation, and awakening. In mid-2021, after attending a workshop, I was introduced to Urban Asanas, a Black-owned yoga studio in Brooklyn, NY, run by Jyll Hubbard-Salk. What started as a single class quickly became a weekly ritual that I remain committed to. Urban Asanas supported me through tender moments, and in 2023, I became the studio manager. This new role motivated me to deepen my practice and explore teaching. Two years later, following the guidance of my journey’s assignments, I became a certified yoga instructor. Gratefully, I continue to be guided by my teacher and mentor, Jyll, at the studio that helped me find myself and return home to who I truly am. My journey continues with passion, purpose, and a commitment to sharing my lived experiences through yoga and other healing practices.

Yoga became the foundation of my healing, guiding me through breathwork, movement, and stillness to reconnect with my body and spirit. Through meditation, I discovered the power of slowing down, calming the mind, and letting go of what yoga calls the “monkey mind.” This journey inspired me to create Beloved Being: Yoga & Wellness, a brand built on personal experience and intentional care.

At Beloved Being, I offer a range of wellness products, including sea moss, alongside home and small business cleaning services. I also lead workshops focused on self-healing and forgiveness. My mission is to create welcoming spaces where everyone—especially Black people—feel seen, valued, and reminded that yoga and holistic wellness are accessible and meant for them too. "To Be Aware Is To Be Alive."
