Purpose

At Lynden Yoga Collective, our purpose is to foster a transformative journey of self-discovery and embodied presence through our 200-hour yoga teacher training program. Rooted in the integration of ancient wisdom, such as Advaita Vedanta and the Noble Eightfold Path, with modern insights into anatomy and nervous system regulation, we cultivate a supportive, inquiry-based community. Our training empowers students to teach and practice yoga with integrity, compassion, and clarity, guiding them to weave mindfulness, somatic awareness, and ethical conduct into their lives on and off the mat.

What to expect

The Lynden Yoga Collective’s 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training, starting in Spring 2026, offers a transformative journey blending ancient yoga wisdom with modern science. Expect a supportive, inquiry-based community where you’ll deepen your personal practice through philosophy, anatomy, meditation, and wise sequencing. Guided by experienced teachers, you’ll cultivate somatic awareness and inner clarity, learning to teach from presence and authenticity rather than scripts. The program fosters embodied presence and self-awareness, preparing you to guide others with integrity, whether you aim to teach or simply enrich your practice.

Style/Lineage

At Lynden Yoga Collective, our lineage honors yoga's ancient roots & eight limbs, blending Anusara, Bhakti, Amrit & Theravada meditation. Teachers blend wisdom w/ modern trauma-informed science for inclusive Vinyasa, Hatha, restorative & meditative styles.
Additional Information
Lynden Yoga Collective Trainee Selection Process At Lynden Yoga Collective, we are dedicated to fostering a welcoming, inclusive, and transformative environment for all who wish to deepen their yoga practice and share its benefits with others. Our trainee selection process is designed to reflect our core values of inclusion, integrity, and discernment, ensuring that our training programs are accessible to individuals from all walks of life. We believe yoga is for every body, and our selection process prioritizes a sincere commitment to personal growth, community connection, and the exploration of yoga as an embodied wisdom tradition over physical prowess or academic credentials. Application Criteria We seek applicants who are passionate about yoga and mindfulness, eager to engage in a rigorous yet supportive learning journey, and committed to fostering an inclusive community. To apply, prospective trainees must meet the following criteria: • Age Requirement: Be at least 18 years of age at the start of the training program. • Regular Practice: Demonstrate a consistent yoga or mindfulness practice for a recommended minimum of 6 months. This could include any style of yoga (e.g., Hatha, Vinyasa, Yin, or Restorative) or mindfulness practices such as meditation or breathwork. We value dedication over specific lineage or expertise. • Written Application: Submit a completed application form (available online or in paper format) that includes: ◦ Personal background and history with yoga or mindfulness. ◦ Motivation for pursuing teacher training and how it aligns with personal and professional goals. ◦ Readiness to commit to the emotional, intellectual, and physical demands of the training. • Commitment to Growth: Be willing to engage in honest self-reflection, experiential learning, and respectful dialogue with peers and instructors. This includes openness to feedback and a curiosity about yoga’s philosophical and cultural roots. • Adherence to Ethics: Agree to uphold Lynden Yoga Collective’s Code of Conduct and ethical policies, which emphasize respect, integrity, and accountability in all interactions throughout the training. We warmly encourage applications from individuals of all backgrounds, including diverse ages, body types, cultural identities, and lived experiences. No prior teaching experience or adherence to a specific yoga tradition is required. Our goal is to create a vibrant, diverse cohort of trainees who bring unique perspectives to the learning community. Application Process Our application process is thoughtfully structured to ensure mutual alignment between prospective trainees and the goals of our training program. Below are the detailed steps: 1. Written Application Prospective trainees must complete a comprehensive application form, available upon request (hello@lyndenyogacollective.com) or in paper format upon request inperson. The application includes questions designed to help us understand: ◦ Your personal journey with yoga or mindfulness and how it has shaped your life. ◦ Your reasons for pursuing teacher training and your vision for applying what you learn. ◦ Your readiness to engage in a structured program that includes physical practice, self-study, and group collaboration. Applications are reviewed holistically, with an emphasis on authenticity, clarity of intention, and alignment with our program’s values. There is no application fee, ensuring accessibility for all. 2. Attend Informational Meeting Applicants are required to attend an informational meeting (offered in-person or virtually) to learn more about the training program, meet lead trainers, and ask questions. This meeting provides an opportunity to: ◦ Understand the program’s structure, curriculum, and expectations. ◦ Connect with the Lynden Yoga Collective community and its values. ◦ Clarify logistical details, such as scheduling, tuition, and scholarship opportunities. For those unable to attend a scheduled meeting, recordings or one- on-one informational sessions may be arranged upon request. 3. Optional Interview Depending on the application review, some applicants may be invited to a short, one-on- one conversation with a lead trainer (conducted in-person, by phone, or via video call). The purpose of the interview is to: ◦ Ensure alignment between the applicant’s expectations and the program’s offerings. ◦ Discuss any specific needs, accommodations, or concerns. ◦ Explore how the applicant’s goals align with the collective’s mission of fostering inclusive, mindful communities. The interview is not a test of skill or knowledge but a collaborative dialogue to confirm mutual fit. 4. Confirmation of Readiness Final acceptance is determined through a holistic review of the application and, if applicable, the interview. Our evaluation process prioritizes: ◦ Sincerity and commitment to personal and communal growth. ◦ Willingness to engage fully in the training’s physical, intellectual, and emotional components. ◦ Alignment with our values of inclusion, respect, and ethical practice. Acceptance is not based on physical performance, appearance, social media presence, or popularity in the yoga community. We aim to create a cohort that reflects diverse perspectives and fosters a supportive learning environment. Accepted applicants will receive a formal acceptance letter with next steps. 5. Enrollment & Deposit Upon acceptance, trainees confirm their spot by submitting a $500 non-refundable deposit within two weeks of notification. This deposit secures enrollment and contributes toward the total tuition. Trainees must also: ◦ Finalize tuition payment or arrange a payment plan agreement before the training start date. ◦ Sign an enrollment agreement acknowledging the program’s expectations, policies, and Code of Conduct. We provide clear guidance on payment processes and offer flexible options to accommodate financial needs. Equity and Accessibility At Lynden Yoga Collective, we are deeply committed to making yoga teacher training accessible to all, regardless of financial, social, or physical barriers. To support this commitment, we offer: • Partial Scholarships: A limited number of scholarships are available to reduce tuition costs for those facing financial hardship. Scholarship applications are reviewed based on need and alignment with our mission. • BIPOC Affinity Spots: Dedicated spaces are reserved for Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) to foster cultural inclusion and representation in our training programs. These spots may include additional financial support or mentorship opportunities. • Accommodations: We strive to accommodate diverse needs, including physical accessibility for training facilities, flexible scheduling for those balancing work or family responsibilities, and alternative formats for application materials (e.g., audio submissions for those with visual or motor impairments). Our scholarship and affinity programs are designed to cultivate a diverse, equitable learning environment where all trainees feel valued, respected, and empowered. Applicants interested in these opportunities are encouraged to indicate their interest in the application form, and additional details will be provided during the informational meeting. Our Philosophy We believe that the desire to deepen one’s yoga practice and share it with others should not be limited by external barriers. Our selection process is intentionally designed to honor this principle while ensuring that each trainee is prepared to engage meaningfully with the program. We value heart, curiosity, and a commitment to community over perfection or competition. By fostering a cohort of diverse, dedicated individuals, we aim to create a ripple effect of mindfulness, compassion, and inclusivity in the broader yoga community. For questions about the application process or to request accommodations, please contact us at hello@lyndenyogacollective.com or visit www.lyndenyogacollective.com to sign up for information meeting. We look forward to welcoming you to the Lynden Yoga Collective community.
