Purpose

Developing confident and effective instructors who are able to teach impactful yoga classes based on alignment, breath, and application of the yamas and niyamas.

What to expect

At Create Power Yoga, our yoga teacher training is a comprehensive training program that equips you to become a confident and effective instructor. From weekend one, you’ll engage in live teaching opportunities, develop key teaching techniques, and gain a strong understanding of pose alignment, class structure, and communication skills. Our in-person yoga teacher training emphasizes inclusivity and equity in yoga, functional movement, and practical teaching methods. By the end of the program, you will be prepared to lead students with authenticity and confidence, with communication and leaderships skills that will serve you both on and off the mat.

Style/Lineage

All Levels Power Yoga is a dynamic vinyasa-style flow based in Baron Baptiste Power Yoga and Ashtanga Yoga, heavily influenced by Baron Baptiste, Bryan Kest, and Stacy Dockin's alignment and breath-based teaching methods. Teaching methodology is based around this style, with philosophy, communication skills, and ethics applicable to any style of teaching. Our classes are open to all levels of practitioner and designed to help students build strength, bodily agency, and mental clarity.

Additional Information

While we do not require a certain length of yoga practice prior to training, to ensure that our trainees receive the the best possible experience we do have a few requirements for our trainees:

1. Be comfortable with and physically able to practice heated power yoga

2. Have a power yoga practice (this is a power yoga training)

3. Had a yoga practice long enough to be familiar with basic poses (not expertise, but familiarity)

4. Attend at least 5 hot power classes at Create Power Yoga so we know you understand the style you'll be trained in.

5. Be able to commit to our weekend training schedule as well as home study between training weekends
