Core competencies
By the end of this program, graduates will be able to…
- Identify the symptoms of unresolved trauma and nervous system dysregulation.
- Identify the root causes of addiction and disordered behaviors through a trauma-informed lens by examining how these patterns live in the body and how yoga and 12-step recovery can support sustainable transformation.
- Discover sustainable ways for self-regulation and ‘trigger’ management that support and enhance physical, mental, and spiritual health on an individual and collective level.
- Distinguish the traps of projection, transference, countertransference, boundary violations, and spiritual bypass.
- Practice yoga using somatic tools to support brain repatterning.
- Participate in a network of professionals, including trauma experts and others in the addiction and recovery field
- Design and facilitate Y12SR meetings, integrate themed practices, and hold space for others on the path of recovery.
