Karma Yoga

Offering a yoga school meets studio experience, focusing on a blend of powerful flows and athletic classes with slower flows and softer classes. Students have the opportunity to slow down, tune in and play in community practice, eventually taking your yoga practice off the mat.

Code of conduct

Karma Yoga is a spiritual community which needs a healthy business to thrive. Spirituality can be viewed as the space between stimulus and response; it is in this space that we practice. Spiritual communities require healthy finances, and clear communication around energy exchange. We aim to support our students from all backgrounds through yoga practice.

Honoring and respect of:

• Time: arrive and end class on time; respect other’s time
• Space: remove shoes, organize used blocks, props and towels, clean floor for next class
• Energy: ask before assisting, try to match the energy arc of the class, avoid behaviors that would disrupt other students during class
• Money: communicate clearly, honor time and commitments
• Communication: true, kind and timely speech
• Yourselves: clean body, self care
• Each Other: non-harm, truthfulness, privacy, reputation

Vision Statement for Studio:

• a space to drop thoughts (e.g. labels, identity) and connect with being in the body
• a space to challenge and develop body and spirit with experienced teachers
• a space to release karma through mind-body practice
• a space to connect with like-minded people and grow in community
• a safe space to play or explore mind-body or spiritual practice with non-judgment

Studio Values:

• transparency
• fairness
• integrity
• compassion
• exploration
• curiosity

Issue Escalation:

• Issues are to be reported in the Behavior Incident Report
• Warnings will be issued by email and verbally by studio admins
• Repeated violations will result in removal from the studio
